Panama makes its debut at the IFAF Under-19 World Championship, qualifying as the third Pan-American representative.The Central American nation just missed out on the 2009 tournament after defeating the Bahamas, 52-6, but then losing to Mexico, 26-0.

Panama Football Overview

Panama first entered international competition in 2000, taking part in the NFL Global Junior Championship played in Atlanta and returned to that stage in 2007 with a 14-6 win over France in South Florida.

Panama’s most celebrated player, who represented his country in 2000, is defensive lineman Frank Davis, who played at the University of South Florida and three seasons in the NFL with the Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals.
